One origin story of the puzzle ring

Arab warrior was very pleased to one of his woman. As a clever and jealous man he got great idea how to control the woman. He put ring to woman's finger and didn't tell it would fall apart if taken off. Only he could assemble it. After few trips he got ring back as a whole and he know woman had been faithful to him. During one trip woman fell in love to another man. She couldn't cheat with ring on the finger so she took it off. Ring fell apart and she couldn't assemble it. Woman had to return ring to a man as pieces. Then man knew she had been unfaithful.
